This trusted, beveled glass burnisher helps compress the grain side of leather after casing to create a more uniform surface for carving, dyeing, forming, or creasing. Simply case your leather normally and then drag the glass across the grain side of the leather. This action will compress the leather grain, thus providing for better cuts and for better uniform coverage of dyes and finishes. Also used by bookbinders to help form and crease their leather.

Also use the glass burnisher with our Tokonole or Gum Tragacanth to slick down the leather fibres on the flesh side of leather.
